From the cool Carneros region of Napa. This is our first Chardonnay for Stout Family Wines. We chose Carneros because of its history of producing great Chardonnay. Our Chardonnay has a pronounced floral character of apple blossom and tropical fruit. Rich texture, well balanced with faint vanilla spice and moderate intensity with a lingering finish. Partially barrel fermentation gives the wine a rounded touch of oak , without over powering the wine. We are shooting for a more restrained style of Chardonnay that expresses it Carneros origins.
