We produced 2 barrels of Special Selection in the 2017 Vintage. Previously we had bottled only our Cabernet Franc as Special Selection. This is our first Cabernet Sauvignon under this designation.
Opaque in color, with aromas of bruised red roses, blackberry fruit and hints of mocha vanilla that express the ripeness of the fruit. Moderate plus intensity on the palate, confirming the black fruit and baking spice character. Firm grip of tannins shows the ability of the wine to age. The extended oak aging completes the wine and gives it a well- rounded soft finish.
