This wine comes from a single vineyard source on the eastern side of Napa Valley, at the foot of the Vaca Mountain range. Deep rich ruby color, with aromas of red roses and earthy mineral. There is a volcanic element to the wine with baking spice clove and hints of iron and blackberry fruit. Firm rich palate that has a well-balanced oak intensity. Big, ripe, and juicy. The tannins are firm with a moderate plus finish.
